Wendy Boivin, M.S. LMFT & Life Coach - Co-Founder and Managing Partner

 Welcome! I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in Rhode Island . I  received her Bachelor and Masters' Degrees from The University of Rhode Island.  I received her Life Coaching Certificate from Mentor Coach and trained with the Robbins/Madanes Center for Strategic Intervention.  I am a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy .   I have also taught at the University of Rhode Island for over 15 years.  I have taught undergraduate classes in Marriage and Intimate Relationships.   Intro to Counseling and graduate level classes.   I have  been a guest speaker at the University of Rhode Island Leadership program on Family Leadership.   I have created and facilitated several programs including Couples & Money, Parenting Teens,Cooperative Parenting & Divorce,  The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens.  In addition to counseling services I am  also a Life Coach assisting clients to gain clarity about what they want to achieve, get focused on the strategies to get there and to take the actions that will have the greatest impact.   In any counseling or coaching relationship, having a good and trusting relationship with your therapist or coach is paramount.  I work from a strength based modality.  I utilize family systems, CBT and positive psychology to help people manage:  anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, grief and loss.    Couples work includes :  increasing productive and healthy communication patterns and identify  and decrease the patterns that can be destruction in any relationship.  I work with my clients with to create the plan forward at their pace and on their time.  Change is a process.

Tammy Garceau, CIMI, LICSW - Co-Founder and Managing Partner

 is a graduate of Boston College School of Social Work, and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Tammy is skilled in treating depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, divorce and loss issues, post-partum depression, ADHD and attachment challenges, as well as behavioral concerns in children and adolescents. She is a Level I and II Certified EMDR Therapist and a Certified Infant Massage Instructor. In addition to private practice, Ms. Garceau gained experience as a public school social worker, the Clinical Supervisor for a day treatment program for emotionally and behaviorally challenged populations, as well as a Mental Health Manager for an Early Head Start and Head Start program. Tammy is an active member of The National Association of Social Workers, and was a presenter at the NASW Convention. She served on The Board of Directors for The RI Association for Infant Mental Health, and presented at The New England Head Start Annual Conference. As a member of For Our Children Under Six Task Force, she was awarded The Carol Prendergast Award in May 2006. Tammy utilizes a strength-based, cognitive-behavioral approach to her practice. She believes in developing positive, trusting, and productive counseling relationships with her clients, as they strive to reach their personal goals and overall wellness. C. Carol Chevalier, M.S., LMFT

earned her Bachelors’ (summa cum laude) and Masters degrees from the University of Rhode Island and has been practicing since 1987. She is a clinical member of the Associate for Marriage and Family Therapy and taught in the clinical program at URI for many years. She has worked as a child abuse specialist in Connecticut and in private practice in Rhode Island and is experienced in working with children, adolescents and adults. Her experience also includes extensive work with couples and families. Carol specializes in assisting her clients gain competencies and understanding to better manage issues of anxiety, depression, grief, attention deficit with or without hyperactivity, life and family transitions, as well as the many challenges that couples and families face in today’s complex world. Carol also worked in the corporate world in a family-owned business managing several programs for the selection and development of internal talent and succession planning. As a senior trainer and then manager, she developed and presented many workshops on a variety of topics. In every setting and at the core of Carol’s approach, is her strong belief in the strengths of the individual and their wealth of inner resources that can be accessed and utilized to gain or regain a sense of well-being, balance and and wholeness.

Yolanda Gabrielle, M.A. LICSW

is a graduate of Simmons College, Boston, Ma. and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Yolanda specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, including postpartum depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, co-dependency, and stress management. She has expertise in working with couples as well as individuals; serving older adolescents and adults. Yolanda has also worked in various clinical settings including inpatient, partial hospital and outpatient mental health. In her present practice, Yolanda uses Cognitive-Behavioral, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy approaches in the treatment of adults and families. Yolanda's clients are diverse -- some are involved in difficult relationships with family, spouses or loved ones. Some are women and couples who are struggling with perinatal depression. Some are people with fears and concerns that may be rooted in a difficult childhood and interferes with their personal and professional lives. And some are people who simply want an objective voice to help them toward a better sense of who they are and who they want to be. Catherine Grimm, LMHC

is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Rhode Island. She obtained a Masters degree from the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology at Rhode Island College as well as a BA in Psychology from Providence College. Cate works with individuals to address and alleviate the symptoms of their particular mental health disorder including anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD and sleep disorders. She also has experience in dual diagnosis having worked at CODAC Behavioral Health for several years. Couples therapy is also provided to improve communication or enhance intimacy. Other couple's issues include infidelity," emotional affairs", unmet needs and coparenting. She engages in family therapy to assist children, teens and their parents as they work to improve their quality of life after divorce or loss, create a blended family, or tackle behavioral or substance abuse issues that erode the family system. Cate has previous experience in facilitating support groups such as early recovery and women's issues. Cate utilizes Rational Emotive Therapy to raise her clients level of awareness in order to improve their behaviors. Insurances accepted Blue Cross, United, Neighborhood, and Tufts.
